China, 1862: Lord Lindsey rules the opium trade. The Red
Lotus Society, a group of trained Wushu warriors, fights to restore justice
unto the people. When a reverend threatens to denounce Lindsey's illegal
activities to British authorities, he is swiftly executed, and Lindsey orders
the capture of the reverend's son Jonathan. The boy is whisked away by a Red
Lotus leader to a protective village where he is educated in the ancient art of
Wushu, for which he has a special aptitude hindered by his eye for vengeance.
Several years later, Jonathan is finally allowed to fight the Red Lotus cause.
But on a routine mission he unwittingly kidnaps Lindsey's daughter, a princess,
thereby endangering the village and prompting the ultimate battle between
Lindsey's forces and the Red Lotus Society.
